Connie Sue Carmickle, 81, of Maynard departed this life on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at St. Bernard Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Connie was born on December 19, 1943, in Rosebud, IL., to the late Lee Boyles and Pearl Hastings Boyles. Connie was a homemaker and loved all animals but above all she loved her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Leroy Carmickle Sr.; siblings, Billy Williamson, Larry Boyles, Lee Jr. Boyles, and Joyce Johnson; one son, Thomas Carmickle Jr.

She is survived by her children, Donna O'Dell and David (Donna) Carmickle; grandchildren, Brian O'Dell, Amanda O'Dell, Teala Hilderbran, Whitney Ross, and Misty Caldwell; great-grandchildren, Brock Seehaver, June LeRoux, Zelda Hilderbran, Lane LeRoux, Henry O'Dell and Zariah Hilderbran.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 6:00 on Thursday, January 9, 2025, in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel, with the funeral service beginning at 6:00 pm.
