Pocahontas - Woodrow Otha Mathews (Woody), died August 9, 2009 at St. Benards, he was 71. Born September 1, 1937, the son of the late Otha and Gladys (Miller) Mathews. Life long resident of Pocahontas. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. He was an honest hardworking Family man. He did all the woodwork made at Joyce's Arts and Crafts. He and his wife own the store for 28 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Lee (Doran) Mathews of 48 years of the home. One son, Mitchel Mathews and Julia of Pocahontas. Daughter, Suzann Tweedy and Lee of Pocahontas. Daughter, Jo-Ell Bowers and Todd of Pocahontas. Two granddaughters and four grandsons. Eight Great-grandchildren and one on the way. Two sisters; Shirley Reddin of Truman, AR. \u0026 Phyllis Morris of Little Rock. Also, four nieces survive. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 11, 2009 from 5-7. Service will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. Burial will follow to Randolph Memorial Gardens with Earl Mathews officiating.
