Obituary

Jonesboro -Wilma Ruth Hammett, 84, passed away Monday, September 7, 2015. She was born July 25, 1931 in Trumann to the late Hardy and Alma Freeman Dunivan. She was a homemaker and an active member of the Strawfloor Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her children, Marcia Hammett of Paragould, Jacin Hammett and wife Pelicia of Jonesboro and Lowel Hammett and wife Hillery of Shawano, WI; five grandchildren, Tia Adams (Chad) , Jacin Hammett II (Amanda), Zachery Hammett, Dustin Raasch and Toby Smith; ten great-grandchildren, Marcus Smith, Tanner Smith, Kadence Raasch, Korbyn Raasch, Kaitlyn Adams, Michala McPhink, William McPhink, Maci Adams, Truett Hammett and Caestin Raasch; a great-great-granddaughter, Hayden Smith; all the members of Strawfloor Baptist Church and K-9 companion "Pepper". She was also preceded in death by her husband, Adron Hammett; a son, Russell Van Hammett; two brothers, Joe Dunn and Anthony Dunn; two sister, Marge Griffin and Imogene Dunivan A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home with Rev. Don Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at the Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home, 300 W. Matthews Ave. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jacin Hammett II, Chad Adams, Lannie Scott, Jerry Yeager, David Hopp and Jerry Lee. Lasting memorials may be sent to Strawfloor Baptist Church.
