Weiner" Willodean Hesse, 88, died Friday, June 5, 2015 at Crystal Oaks Care Center in Crystal City, Mo. Willodean was born Jan. 18, 1927, in Vina, Ala., to the late Willie A. and Rosa Lee (Sparks) Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Hesse. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Wayne Carpenter, Mack Carpenter and Malcolm Carpenter. She owned and operated Modern Beauty Shop in Weiner for many years. She and her husband also owned Hesse Equipment Co. in Fair Oaks. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Jean (Larry) Tucker of DeSoto, Mo.; three grandsons, Cooper (Kathleen) Tucker of Festus, Mo., Matt (Julie) Tucker of St. Louis and Adam Tucker of Bonne Terre, Mo.; three great-grandchildren, Madison, Mason and Wesley. She is also survived by her former husband, Elmer Cooper of Weiner; and one sister, Ann Dennis of Waldenburg. She is also survived by three stepsons, Jim (Linda) Hesse of Weiner, Phil (Patricia) Hesse of Weiner and Dan (Charlotte) Hesse of Cordova, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Mike (Tara) Kinard, Kip (Pamela) Hesse, Zach Hesse, Jessica (Josh) McClard, Candace (Tim) Cooper, Barry (Krissi) Hesse and Kara (Jeff) Money; and 12 great-grandchildren, Hannah, Austen, Parker, Grier, Charly, Maeve, Sloane, Cross, Jesse, Luke, Jadyn and Cal. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church in Waldenburg. Burial will follow at Waldenburg Cemetery under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home. Visitation is Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church. Pallbearers will be Cooper Tucker, Matt Tucker, Adam Tucker, Mark Dennis, Kip Hesse and Barry Hesse. Memorials may be made to the church or cemetery.
