Jonesboro - Willie Allene Meeks, 81, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012 at St. Bernard's Medical Center. Born April 21, 1931 in Randolph County to the late Baxter and Etta Pearl (Stubblefield) Spencer. She is also preceded in death by husband J.C. Meeks, four brothers; Kermit Spencer, Henderson Spencer, Doc Spencer and Warren G. Spencer and two sisters; Dee Loyce Lamb and Irene Creason. She is survived by daughter Charlotte (Scott) Rogers of Jonesboro and son J.B. (Marsha) Meeks of Reyno, two grandchildren; Baxter Meeks of Reyno and Lindsay (Scott) Baney of Jonesboro and two great grandchildren; Madison Baney and Brooklyn Baney both of Jonesboro. Brother, Carl Frier of Pocahontas and two sisters; Earlen E. Meza of Jonesboro and Wilma Murrell of Pocahontas. Funeral service will be held Monday, December 17, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Maynard Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 5-7 p.m.
