William Clifton Stamp, 87, of Jonesboro, passed away November 30, 2016 at his home. He was born September 1, 1929 in Caraway to the late Charles and Grace Wilson Stamp. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War and was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. Mr. Stamp retired as the warehouse supervisor for CWL after 37 years of service. He will be remembered as a loving father and uncle who put family above all else.
Survivors include his son, Cliff Stamp of Jonesboro, nieces, Linda Jo Whitley (Glen) of Bono, Jackie Heckmann (Jerry) of Little Rock, Patty Owens (Hollis) of Jacksonville, FL and Stacy Scott (Bill) of Jacksonville Beach, FL, nephew, Johnny Wyse (Cathy) of Gulf Breeze, FL, great-nieces, Ashlely Mc Dole of Bono and Kelly Mc Dole of Conway and great-nephew, Owen Mc Dole of Bono as well as other extended family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Lois, as well as eleven brthers and sisters.
Visitation will be 9:00 Saturday morning December 3, 2016 at Gregg Langford Bookout Funeral Home followed by the funeral service starting at 10:00 in the Chapel. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Keith Allen, Johnny Wyse, Jerry Heckmann, Glen Whitley and Brian Heckmann.
