Lake City- William Henry Nance, 64, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023 at NEA Baptist Hospital.

He was born February 19, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois to the late William Henry and Mary Lee Ballew Nance. William worked in construction. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was survived children, Christopher Nance (Karen) of Cherokee Village, Nathan Elrod (Chasity) of Finch, Larry Stice (Sheila) of Bono and Larrie Johnson (John) of Jonesboro; sisters, Barbara Dianne Fields and Donna Vickers (Eddie) of all of Lake City; grandchildren, Dakota Nance, Zeplin Nance, Kingston Nance, Makenzie Nance and Baylee Nance; great-grandchild due in 2024.

A celebration of his life will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2023 at Gregg – Langford Bookout Funeral Home with Rev. Duane Catron of the Gospel Assembly Church officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Log Cemetery.

The visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Chris Milsap, Larry Stice, Lonnie Hazelwood, Shawn Petty, Andrew Moreno and Reggie Meador. Honorary pallbearers are Eddie Vickers, Kenny Lee Fields, Wesley Ballew and the Nance cousins.
