Pocahontas - William Russell Johnson, 83, passed away Friday, June 08, 2012. Born July 16, 1928 in Randolph Co to the late William and Melissa Johnson. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Laqueta Joy (Landreth) Johnson and great grand daughter Emma Laqueta Steele. He is survived by son, Danny Russell Johnson of Biggers, daughter, Judy Williams of Maynard. Three grandchildren; Jeffrey Russell Johnson of Biggers, Zachary Williams of Pocahontas, and Erica Steele of Maynard. 6 great grand children; Rusty Johnson of Paragould, Laura Ann Johnson of Biggers, Haylee Williams and Gunner Williamsboth of Jonesboro, and Carley Steele and Makenna Steele both of Maynard. Graveside service will be held Monday, June 11, at 2:00 p.m. in Hite Cemetery. McNabb Funeral Home was in charge of making arrangements.
