Pocahontas- William Whittley Farrar, 73, passed away July 4, 2013. Born August 27, 1939 in Oakland, CA. to Major Johnny and Major Irene Robinson He is preceded in death by his parents, Brother Eugene Farrar, Roland Farrar, son Michael Stephen Farrar, Daughters, Sheila Davenport, and Claudia Powell. He is survived by Lois Farrar of the home. Children, Cindy Craig-Pocahontas, AR, Susan Kuehl-Killeen, TX, Stephanie West- TX, Stacey Longmire-S.C., Johnny Farrar-TX, William Farrar- TX, David Farrar- N.C. and Mike Dunn- S.C., Sisters, Elzena Gray- Boise Idaho, Marty Hudson, Lake Sherwood, MO. many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren. U.S. Army for 20 years, Korean and Vietnam Veteran. Vietnam SVC Medal with 1 silver and 4 bronze stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnamese Civil Actions Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal . Served as Commander of VFW Post #4556 Pocahontas, AR. Remained active for many years, aside from term as commander. Visitation will be Wednesday July 10, 2013 from 1:00-2:00 P.M.
