William E. Spann, Jr. (Bill), 93, of Pocahontas went to be with the Lord on December 26, 2022
He was born June 14, 1929 to the late William Edgar Spann Sr. and Henrietta Gilzow Spann.
William was a Korean war veteran and received a purple heart. His life work was as an orthotist. William was a lifelong member of Life Line Baptist Church where he served in the food pantry ministry. He also served with Disaster relief and Arkansas Campers on mission for twelve years. William was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved John Wayne and western movies. After moving to Pocahontas William attended Pocahontas First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Diane France; and six sisters.
William is survived by his wife, Dolly; two daughters, Brenda (Mel) Aldridge, Lisa (Gregg) Carter; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and three great- great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 11:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. at the Life Line Baptist Church in Little Rock, AR. Funeral service will be at 12:00 P.M. at the Life Line Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander, AR under direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Zac Rowe, Bobby Nichols, Brody Nichols, Gregg Carter, Adam Clairday, and Drake Clairday.
