Obituary

Jonesboro- William Cook, 88, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at NEA Baptist Hospital.

He was born June 11, 1933 in Bono to the late William Watson Cook and Hattie Kerr Cook.  William served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. He received a bachelor degree in Math from Arkansas State University. He was a substitute math teacher at Brookland. He loved taking care of kids.

He is survived by his children, David Cook of Washington, DC, Larry Cook of Paragould, Donna Cook of Rochester, NY, Lora Carmon (Tom) of Kennett, MO, Thomas "T.K." Cook of Trumann and Amber Cook of Jonesboro; a sister, Armilda Beard of Baltimore, MD and eight grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Rose Lee Weaver Cook; a sister, Frances Ford and two brothers, Arlis Kerr Cook and Jeffeson Levi Cook.

A graveside service to celebrate his life will be 12:30 p.m. Monday, January 10, 2022 at Trinity Cemetery under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.

There will be no visitation.
