William “Bill” Edward Gooch, 95, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, departed this life on Monday, January 26, 2026, at his home.

Bill was born on July 18, 1930, in Egypt, Arkansas, to the late William Gooch and Ednas Herring Gooch. He worked for many years as a TV repairman. Bill was an avid bowler and enjoyed bowling in the church league alongside his wife, Betty, and his brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Jenny. He loved tinkering with old cars. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family. Bill attended Pocahontas First Free Will Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ednas Gooch; his wife, Betty Fields Gooch; two children; three brothers; and two sisters.

He is survived by two brothers, Lloyd (Jenny) Gooch and Danny (Sally) Gooch, along with many other family members, church family, and friends who will fondly remember him.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 2, 2026, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel, with the funeral to begin at 11:00 a.m. with Nelson Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Danny McCandless, Tim Modlin, Charles Seagraves, Danny Rodgers, Bill Blevins, and David Griffith.
