Jonesboro- William Marion Allen, 73, passed away Friday, May 20, 2016 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. He was born September 17, 1942 in Cairo, Illinois to the late Millard and Ola King Allen. He was an owner and operator of an 18 wheeler. He drove for Atlas Asphalt for thirty-one years and sold paint at Sherwin Williams for number of years. Mr. Allen served his country proudly in the United States Army Reserves. He enjoyed westerns and Cardinal baseball but his pride and joy was his son and grandson. He is survived by his wife- Linda Allen; a son, Jonathan Allen; a grandson, Luke Allen; a sister, Helen Tomlinson; a brother, Daniel Allen all of Jonesboro; and many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. A graveside service to celebrate his life will be 2:00 pm Monday, May 23, 2016 at Shiloh Cemetery. Burial will follow under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Brant Tomlinson, Brandon Maxwell, Ronny Johnston, Jonathan Allen, Tori Tomlinson and Tucker Tomlinson.
