Mrs. Willa Mae Brewer of Jonesboro, departed this life on Friday, May 8, 2015, at her home, at the age of 86. She was born February 16, 1929, in Corning, AR, the daughter of the late Henry Williams and Rosalee Rice Williams. She was a member of the Nettleton Assembly of God and loved gardening, raising flowers, and taking care of her grandchildren. She worked several years at the Arkansas Services Center and the Nettleton Cafeteria. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jay Marlin Brewer, one son, Donald J. Brewer, one daughter, Peggy Marlin Reynolds, one granddaughter, Donna Glasco, and seven siblings, Marie Warren, Robert Williams, Velma Williams, Earl Williams, Tressie Williams, Bessie Williams, and J.D. Williams. She is survived by one son, Ronald J. Brewer of Jonesboro, two sisters, Melvina Daniels and JoAnn Bolinger, five grandchildren, Teresa Knight (Chris), Christy Bridgeman (Scott), Jeremy Brewer, Jennifer Hernandez (Pichi), and Candice Davidson (Michael), all of Jonesboro, and thirteen great grandchildren, Dakota Brewer, Eli Thomas, Olivia Bridgeman, Emily Looney, Jared Venable, Jacob Brewer, Travis Venable, London Davidson, Lawson Davidson, Adrian Hernandez, Tristan Knight, Cruz Hernandez, all of Jonesboro, and Jacob Bridgeman of Newport. Funeral Services are set for 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Rebecca Lapiro officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home Monday, noon till service time.
