White Hall - Wayland Thomas Stokes, 71, passed away Monday, October 31, 2011. Born October 15, 1940 in Pocahontas to the late Jimmy and Daisey Stokes. He is also preceded in death by wife Anita Stokes and son Richard Stokes. He is survived by two sons; Vincent Stokes of Killeen, TX and David Stokes of Valdosta, GA. One daughter Terri Stokes of Modesto, CA., 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 27 foster children. And sister Hazel Haulcroft of Pocahontas. Mr. Stokes was U.S. Navy retired and was a member of the Masonic Lodge, V.F.W. and D.A.V. Graveside service will be held Saturday, November 05, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in Brockett Cemetery with Cadell Welch officiating. Visitation will be held prior to service Saturday from 9-10 a.m. in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home.
