Jonesboro- Wanda Stahl, 88, passed away Monday, August 1, 2016. She was born August 7, 1927 in Boydsville to the late William and Gertrude Butler Owens. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved the Lord and walked in his path. She is survived by her children, George Stahl of Indiana, Teresa Crisco of Little Rock, JoElla Weir (Cory) of Jonesboro, Charlotte Sanders (Thomas) of Rosie, Phyllis Stahl of Jonesboro; sister-in-law, Neala Stahl of Fayetteville; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Orvil Stahl; daughter, Robin Meadors and nine brothers and sisters. A celebration of her life will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, August 4, 2016 at First United Methodist Church of Jonesboro with Rev. Patty Soward officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until time of the service Thursday at the church. Her grandsons will be honored to serve as pallbearers.
