Obituary

Mrs. Vivian Elizabeth Sanders, of Harrisburg, departed this life Saturday, December 12, 2015, at the Woodbriar Nursing Home in Harrisburg, at the age of 93. She was born August 1, 1922 in Water Valley, MS, the daughter of the late Alvy G. Bready and Jettie Mae Potts Bready. Vivian enjoyed her life in Harrisburg and was well known around town. She worked for several places in town, including Cooper's Hardware, Dale Matthews Fabric Shop, Phillips Department Store, Johansen's Shoe Factory, and William Graham's Caf. She enjoyed quilting and regularly won blue ribbons at the County Fair. She was very active with the Poinsett County Fair and a member of the Languille EHC for 55 years. She was active in the Pleasant Valley Methodist Women since 1956. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Wesley Sanders in 1998, two sons, Danny Gene Sanders and Johnny Guy Sanders, and eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by two daughters, Frances Dickson of Jacksonville, FL and Brenda LaMastus of Hot Springs, AR, two sons, Randy Lynn Sanders of Freemont, NB and Curtis Wade Sanders of Harrisburg, AR, eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 16th, at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clark Atkins officiating. Interment will follow in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Gregg-Weston Funeral Home of Harrisburg. Friends may visit at the funeral home Tuesday Evening, 6:00-8:00 p.m.
