Virginia Lea Martin, 82, of Corning, formerly of Maynard passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at her home.

She was born July 4, 1941 in Reyno to the late James N. and Mary C. Hurst Murray. She was a homemaker and a member of New Covenant Christian Church for around 20 years. As a devoted Christian, she lived her life by the phrases, "If God brings you to it, He will see you through it," and "If you show honor to everyone, they will in turn show honor to you."

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Murray; husband of 57 years, Hoy Glendon Martin; son, Jimmy Glendon Martin; brothers, Ronnie Joe Murray, Jim Murray, and Billy Murray; sisters, Mary C. Murray, Melly Murray, and Molly Murray; and grandson, Joshua Krueger; great grandson, Brian Stone.

Virginia is survived by her children, Rita G. (Donnie) Lamb of Pocahontas, Michael Martin of Pocahontas, and Virginia Leanne (Rodney) Krueger of Corning; grandchildren, Dietra Lea Bundren of Spring Bay, IL, Dawn Marie Tanksley of Metamora, IL, Kerri Jo Tucker of Warm Springs, Cassie Jean Kelso of Indiana, Dakota Krueger of Hoxie, Connie Moore of Corning, Nykiah Ashlock of Pocahontas, Jenna Grace Krueger of Ravenden, and Betty Hunter of Pocahontas; 15 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Lilly Mae Reese of Ava, MO., John Murray of Fisk, MO, Juley Axsom of Gautier, MS, and Matilda Ruth Murray of Gautier, MS; daughter in law, Jamie Martin of Mississippi, many nieces and nephews, and many wonderful friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 12-2 PM in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with a graveside service beginning at 2:30 PM at Randolph Memorial Gardens with Kenny Barr officiating.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Dakota Krueger, Alan Moore, John Murray, Shawn Collins, Dan Tanksley and Tyler Bundren.

Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Winchell, Kenny Rubel, Trevor Ashlock and Gary Tucker.
