Virginia Lee "GenLee" Rainwater Higdon Ball Hilton, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Warrenton Manor in Wright City, MO at the age of 94 years, 5 months, and 19 days.

She was born August 21, 1930 in Randolph County, AR to the late Enis Earl and Martha Ader Holloway Rainwater.  GenLee was a homemaker who greatly enjoyed reading, embroidery, cross stitch, quilting, cooking, canning, collecting Indian dolls, and taking and collecting photographs.  She was a member of the Church of Christ in Truesdale, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Robert Higdon, John Ball, and Carl Hilton; son, Donnie Ray Ball; and eight siblings.

GenLee is survived by her daughter, Nelda Sue Higdon Batson Piper of Kansas City, KS; sons, Maurice Dean Higdon of Truesdale, MO, Horace Gene Higdon of Verona, MO, Robert Earnest Higdon Jr of Rowley, IA, Kenneth Lee Ball of Joplin, MO, and Jerry Leon Ball of Purdy, MO; 51 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; siblings, Clara Chesser, Johnny Rainwater, David (Peggy) Rainwater, Phillip (Beverly) Rainwater, and Ronnie Rainwater; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 10-11 AM in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with a funeral service beginning at 11 AM with Joshua Dement officiating.  Burial will be at a later date in Sharum Cemetery.
