Jonesboro - Violet Clara Nettles Wilson, 90, began her heavenly life, March 30, 2016 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. Violet was born April 25, 1925 in Pocahontas to the late Albert and Ida Nettles. Violet was an ordained Assembly of God minister prior to becoming a custodian at Westside High School. She is survived bya son Ronnie (Nancy) of Palm Coast, FL; a daughter Gina Mangold (Bob) of Louisville, KY; four grandchildren; four great-children; three sisters and one brother. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Grit Wilson; a grandson, two brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be Friday evening, April 1st, from 6 to 8 at the Funeral Home. Services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home with Rev. Matt Smith officiating. Burial will be in Monette Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Keith Rubottom, James Moore, Raymond Lowery, Glenn Strawn, Perry Nettles and Reuben McCelland. Honorary Pallbearers, Delbert Setzer, Bill Haynes, Ezra Metz and members of the Silver Saints Sunday School Class at First Assembly of God. In lieu of flowers, the family requests consideration of The Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House or the Cancer Society. The family wishes to thank the staff at The Jones Hospice House for their loving care and support. The kindness and professional actions of Drs. Scroggins, Clarkston and Lee of the NEA Baptist Clinic are greatly appreciated.
