Obituary

Mrs. Violet Harbison of Harrisburg, departed this life Thursday, August 29, 2019, at the Woodbriar Nursing Home in Jonesboro, at the age of 89.

She was born June 23, 1930 in Cleveland, MS, the daughter of the late William Lester Tedder and Nora Oneal Tedder. Violet married Virgil Harbison in 1946 and they enjoyed 49 years together before his death in 1995. She was a homemaker but also had worked 22 years at the Slant \u0026 Slant Shirt Factory in Marked Tree and 12 years as the cafeteria manager at Marked Tree High School. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents and her husband Virgil, she was preceded in death by eight siblings.

She is survived by her daughter, Glenda McNabb (James) of Harrisburg, two grandchildren, Lynett Mohr (Joe) of Wynne and Michelle Montgomery (Buddy) of Trumann, five grandchildren, Sarah Stone (Hunter) of Wynne, Dustin Bolton of Fayetteville, AR, Kristin Bolton of Cleveland, MS, Hunter Montgomery and Luke Montgomery, both of Trumann, and one great great grandson, Maverick Stone.

Funeral services are set for Friday, September 6, 2019, at 2:00 p.m., at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may visit at the funeral home just prior to services at 1:00-2:00 p.m.
