Pocahontas- Vickie Yaeger, 70. It was a beautiful day, the 22nd day of October 2015, when our beautiful Vickie went to live with the Lord. Vickie was born January 7, 1945 in Linton, Indiana to Maurice Shanks and Geraldine Cullison Nicholson. She is survived by parents James and Geraldine Nicholson; children Tracy Weaver, Trevor (Laura) Weaver, Darrin (Cristal) Weaver, Teesha Yaeger, Justin Yaeger; grandchildren Jordan Weaver, Michael Weaver, Carlie Weaver, Claire Weaver, Zerek Basch; great-grandchildren Adam Murany, Skyler Brokes; sister Melody (Ernie) McCalla-Grant; brother Mark (Dorothy) Nicholson, one niece and many nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Maurice Shanks, husband Marvin Ray Yaeger, son Derek Basch and brother Paul Shanks. Vickie was a sacrificial giving person. She was loved by many and will be sadly missed. A memorial service will be Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Rockey Starnes officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Five Rivers Animal Aid.
