Pocahontas - VeTrix Smith Winchester, 91, of Pocahontas passed away at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Saturday, September 9, 2017.

VeTrix was born August 31, 1926 in Black Rock, AR to the late William Lark Smith and Lillian Flourine Wells Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Winchester; children, Bobby Winchester, Ann (Ron) Helmbeck, Pat (John) Strack, Billy (Gina) Winchester; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; brother, Clyde (RuthAnn) Smith; sister-in-law, Mary Smith Taylor; and a loving caregiver, Jeanna Penn.

VeTrix was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend and will be greatly missed by many.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2017 in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home from 1-2 pm with a funeral service immediately following at 2 pm with Jerry Wilcox officiating. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery in Imboden, AR.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Flo and Phil Jones Hospice Center or Hope Cemetery in Imboden.
