Caraway - Vernon Dowless, 92 passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Craighead Nursing Center. He was born December 1, 1917 in Monette to the late Irvin and Rose Dowless. Vernon lived most of his life in the Caraway area. He married Louise Stokes Dowless in 1939 and celebrated 71 years together in January. Vernon had a deep love for his family and his country.
