Leachville- Vernice Adams Halter, 79, passed Friday, October 13, 2023 at NEA Baptist Hospital.

She was born May 21, 1944 to Arthur and Ottie Adams. How does one find the words to explain 79 years well lived? Vernice was so very loved as a Mom, Grandma, Nana, sister and favorite aunt. She was the life of the party where ever she went, had lifelong friends, a bigger than life personality with a true love of laughter. She loved to travel, meet new people and was willing to try whatever sounded good at the time. She loved children and could often be found playing with any child within her reach. There are not enough words to say how much she was loved or will be missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Harold and Edward Adams; twin sister, Bernice Adams; sisters, Erline Turner, Cusene Ford, Ima (Henry) Morgan, Marie (Winston) Bowman; brother-in-law Allen Baker;

She is survived by her husband, Edwin Halter, children, Petula Buschert, Micheal (Teresa) Perkins and Jessica (William) Grundy; brother, Billy (Johnnie) Adams, sisters, Joan (Marty) Belinc, Edith (Murry) Henderson and Margret Baker; sisters-in-law, Mary and Nancy Adams; grandchildren, Andrew, Leasha, Justin, Gage, Jade, Jacob, Macy, Paige and Gabrielle, great grandchildren Grayson and Evelyn and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held 5:00 p.m. Thursday October 19th 2023 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home in Jonesboro.

Friends and family visitation from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
