Pocahontas - Verl Ray Waymon, 85, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012. Born April 11, 1926 in Randolph County to the late Fred and Edna Waymon. He is also preceded in death by step brother Lawson Bass. He is survived by wife Notre Waymon of the home, son Danny (Roberta) Waymon of Pocahontas, daughter Deborah (Joe) Moceri of North Carolina, two grandchildren, four great grandchildren and two sisters; Joyce Cooper of Pocahontas and Shirley Reed of North Little Rock. Funeral service will be held Monday, April 02, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Nelson Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Gardens. Military Honors will be performed by Promberger Traw Post #4556. Visitation will be held Sunday from 5-7 p.m.
