Jonesboro- Velia Marie Owens, 91, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018.

She was born April 11, 1927 in Cash to the late Claude and Gladys Walker Coble. Mrs. Owens was a homemaker who loved quilting, sewing and adored her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Regina Barker (Charles) of Walnut Ridge, Jeanette Crum (Bob) of Black Rock; Mike Owens (Ina Gibson) of Bono, Rita Gail Davis (Rick) of Jonesboro and Ronnie Owens (Tori) of Bono; two sisters, Louise Holder and Betty Coble; two brothers, Hershel Coble and Lloyd Coble ; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

She is also preceded in death by her husband, William "Will" Owens and four brothers, Velis Coble, Raymond Coble, James Coble and Clem Coble.

A celebration of her life will be 2:00 pm Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Kenneth Gossett and Bill Willard. Interment will follow at Markham Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jim Merideth, Justin Jarchow, Steve Holloway, Layne Minton, Jessie Owens, Seth Smith and Ryan Moore and as honorary pallbearers, her church family from Washington Ave Church of Christ.
