Vada Josephine Davis, 91, of Pocahontas, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
Josie was born September 1, 1929 in Walnut Ridge to the late Homer and Vada Moore Neece. She was a homemaker, factory worker, and a member of Great Harvest Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.D.Davis; son, Duke Davis; daughter, Peggy Gipson; great grandson, Blaine Davis; nine brothers and sisters.
Josie is survived by two daughters, Dottie (Rick) Cook of Pocahontas and Kay (Paul) Richardson of Jonesboro; nine grandchildren, Ed Gipson of Florida, Shane Davis of Springfield, MO, Billy Davis of Pocahontas, Tammy Haynes of Springfield, MO, Mindy Jones of Jonesboro, Melody Lopez of Batesville, Tiffany Rogers of Pocahontas, Megan Breckenridge of Pocahontas, Brianne Herrera of Jonesboro; sixteen great grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren; brother Elisha Neece of Pocahontas and sister, Ruby Rainbolt of Eminence, MO, and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 8, 2020 from 12:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M. with a funeral at 2:00 P.M. at McNabb Funeral Home Chapel with Jeff Hamm officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be the grandsons.
To follow the directives of Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, masks covering the mouth and nose are required for all persons in Arkansas for all indoor and outdoor settings, with exposure to non-household members where social distancing cannot be assured. Those attending will also be asked to sign a contact registry and maintain a social distance.
