Walnut Ridge- Tula Caroline "Carolyn" Stone Ellis, 94, passed away on October 12, 2018 at home surrounded by loved ones.
Carolyn was born on May 30, 1924 in Pocahontas, AR to the late Joe and Lucy Weatherford Stone.
She lived in Light for 51 years and was a member of Light Baptist Church until she and Bill moved to Walnut Ridge 14 years ago and joined the First Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William "Bill" Russell Ellis; sisters, Marie Ivy, Maxine Cupp, Rhema Eskridge, Jenny Ellis; and brother, Ceral Stone.
She is survived by daughter, Winnie Ellis Tedder and husband, Edward "Eggie" of Walnut Ridge; grandchildren, Rhonda Forrester and husband, Paul of Hoxie, Jennifer Williams and husband, Brent of Fayetteville; great grandchildren, Jackson Ellis Forrester, Taylor Brooke Forrester, Hadley Caroline Williams and Elyse Jordan Williams; sisters, Ola Mae Orsburn and husband, Presley of San Antonio, TX, Bonnie Long and husband, Max of Pocahontas; and her very special caregivers, Judy Holder, Sharon Goodwin, JoAnn Alexander and Sue Hill.
Visitation will be Monday, October 15, 2018 from 1-2 pm at First Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge with a funeral immediately following at 2 pm with Jake Guenrich officiating. Burial in Randolph Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers: great grandson, Jackson Ellis Forrester, nephews, Frankie Ellis, Jerry Don Stone, Ken Orsburn, Charlton Cupp and Tommy Rainwater.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor may be made to the First Baptist Church of Walnut Ridge Youth Ministry or Light Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
