Jonesboro- Troy Leon Fletcher, 83, departed this life on Friday, September 15, 2017 at his home.
He was born December 12, 1933 in Brookland to the late Leslie and Lila Johnston Fletcher. Troy served his country proudly in the United States Navy from 1952 until 1955. For many years he was a member of the Nettleton Church of Christ. He worked in construction and was a security guard for Boling. He enjoyed being outside and spending time with his family. He was a temperate man.
He is also preceded in death by his wife of 62 yrs., Glenda Juanita Fletcher in 2016; a daughter, Sherry Fletcher Ceballos; two brothers, Lee Edmond Fletcher and Roy Fletcher.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Fletcher and his wife Gloria of Bay and Steve Fletcher of the home; a sister, Lavina Pendergraff of Bay; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Jones (Adam) of Mountain Home, Andre Ceballos (Lauren) of Southaven, MS, Natasha Pierce (Johnny) of Bay, Joanna Cash (Rohn) of Olive Branch, MS and Natalie Mitchell (Ritchie Jr.) of Jonesboro; eleven great-grandchildren; four nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Cook and Andre Ceballos officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 until 11:00 am Tuesday at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Adam Jones, Johnny Pierce, Ritchie Mitchell Jr. and Andre Ceballos and Rohn Cash.
