Obituary

Treva Lucille Throesch, 88, of Engelberg was called home on Friday, April 10, 2026. She was born on April 17, 1937, to the late John Herman & Zita (Weisenbach) Walker. She was a lifelong member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She lived for her family & church. She enjoyed all forms of crafts, sewing, gardening and being outdoors. She especially loved cooking Sunday lunch for all of her family. She had a very green thumb. She enjoyed growing all kinds of flowers, which she used to make weekly bouquets for the church altar for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Robert (Bob) Throesch, her parents, son Victor Throesch, great grandson Zander Steimel, sister Agnes Eunita Wicker, brothers Johnny Joseph & Hurschell Walker.

Survivors include her son Mark (Deborah) Throesch, daughters Debora (Rick) Martin, Kim (David) Helms and daughter in law Rose Steimel Throesch. Grandkids Mathew (Michelle) Throesch, Jessica (Jeremy) Stout, Justin (Chelsea) Martin, Ben Throesch, Candace (Andrew) Steimel, Crystal (Stuart) Blalock, Jay (Shauna) Throesch, Josh (Lauren) Martin, Christian (Jessie) Helms, Joseph (Laura) Throesch, Nicole (Dylan) Clark, Sarah (Konnor) Mulock, and Heather Throesch. Great grandkids Madison Throesch, Caroline Stout, Maci Blalock, Jaxon Steimel, Lucy Throesch, Haley Stout, Luke Blalock, Owen Throesch, Emma Stout, Hattie Martin, Noah Steimel, Jayci Martin, Lexly Throesch, Theron Throesch, Kacy Throesch, Henry Clark, Hannah Martin, Rylee Martin, Blakelyn Helms, Samuel Throesch, Sadie Baltz, Molly Clark and two babies on the way. Her sisters Genevieve Zosso and Mary Thielemier and a brother Don (Judy) Walker.

A special thanks to her care givers: Laura Throesch, Charlotte Potter, Linda Brodell, Wanda Thielemier, and Roberta Waymon.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are her grandsons and honorary pallbearers are her granddaughters.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 16, from 5 to 7 p.m. Rosary will be led by David Helms at 7:00 p.m. in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral mass be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Friday, April 17, at 10:00 a.m. with Father John Marconi officiating with burial to follow in St. John Cemetery.
