Obituary

Tressie Ann (Fox) Miles, 83, was born on February 3, 1943, to James “Curly” and Pauline Fox. She peacefully passed away on November 2, 2026, a date that held special meaning, as it would have marked her 64th wedding anniversary with her beloved late husband.

Tressie Ann loved her family more than anything in the world. On November 2, 1962, she married the love of her life, Billy A. Miles, and together they built a life filled with love and cherished memories. Her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the heart of her world and brought her immeasurable joy.

A woman of quiet strength and unwavering loyalty, Tressie dedicated 43 years of faithful service to the Children’s Clinic in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Though soft-spoken, she possessed a remarkable creative spirit and many talents. She especially enjoyed cross-stitching and hand-tinting photographs, a beautiful art form she practiced before color photography became widely available. With her meticulous attention to detail and exceptionally steady hand, she transformed black-and-white photographs into works of art, bringing each image to life with beautiful color.

Tressie will be remembered for her deep love of family, her quiet kindness, her dedication to others, and the many special gifts she shared throughout her life.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherri (Ken) Broadway; grandchildren Mollie (Brian) Veteto, Ethan (Kayla) Broadway and Trey (Allison) Chism; and great-grandchildren Karsyn, Kyndall, Mason, Everett, Caroline and Max.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and grandson, Cody Broadway.

A graveside visitation will be held Friday, November 6, 2026, at 1 pm followed by a service at 2 pm at Philadelphia Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.
