Jonesboro- Travis Leon Cornish, 80, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House.

He was born August 3, 1943 in Monette to the late Virgil "Dick" and Edith Gipson Cornish. Leon worked for many years as a lab tech for Mid –State Toler Dental Lab. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors.

He is survived by his sons, John Cornish and Philip Cornish both of Bay and Mark Cornish and Stephen Cornish (Krystal) all of Jonesboro; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; special friends, Russell Moore, Gary Randel and Gary Gibbs all of Jonesboro and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by four siblings, Peggy Lloyd, J. C. "Buddy" Cornish, Patsy Schmidt and Irene Woodward and a grandchild.

A memorial visitation will be from noon until 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 17, 2023 at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Jonesboro.
