Jonesboro- Tommy Joe Stark, 64, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016 at his home. He was born August 26, 1951 in Jonesboro to Joseph Stark and Inice Bradley Stark. He graduated from Valley View High School in 1971 and was a member of the Apt Community Church. Tommy was a union sheet metal worker, journey man sheet metal worker of Local 36 Little Rock and Local 4 Memphis. He was also a hay farmer and considered "Superman" to his wife and kids. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Hansen Stark; his children, Candy Denton (Jerry) of Lake City, Tammy Stark of Attica, Indiana, Inice Barber (Eddie) and Tommy Stark Jr. all of Jonesboro; ten grandchildren, Hillary Coleman (David), Tommy Barnett, Sarah Kane (Cody), Chyanne Stark, J. T. Scroggins, Kate Scroggins, Joseph Barber, LeeAnn Barber, Carl Stark and Cody Stark; two great-grandchildren, Isabella and Kaiden; a brother, J. W. (Jessie) Stark of Jonesboro and their family. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.O. and Inice Stark; a grandson, Spencer Gilbert; a brother, Nathan Stark and a sister, June Clayton. A celebration of his life will be 10:00 am Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dale Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the funeral home. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Tommy Stark Jr, Eddie Barber, Joseph Barber, Charles Hansen, John Hansen and Wade Stark and as honorary pallbearers, J.W. Stark, Virgil "Junior" Newberry and Dub Maxwell. Lasting memorials may be sent to Apt Community Church or American Cancer Society.
