Jonesboro- Tommy Carl Pierce, 81, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019.

He was born October 2, 1937 in Jonesboro to the late Tom and Geraldine Pierce.
Tommy proudly served in the United States Navy from 1955 until 1959. Tommy enjoyed fishing, Cardinal baseball and telling jokes and stories. He was an over the road tractor trailer owner and operator for more than thirty-five years. Tommy was a member of the Church of Christ.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Lynn Pierce and sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Tommy Roth.

He is survived by his daughter, Tommie Sue Moore and her mother, Mar Sue Pierce both of Walnut Ridge; grandchildren, Hanna Moore of Jonesboro and Mason Moore of Walnut Ridge; two brothers and their wives, Ronnie and Linda Pierce of Walnut Ridge and Joe and Beverly Pierce of Jonesboro; a sister and her husband, Sandra and David Doerr of Glen Burnie, Maryland and many other family and friends.

Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:00 am Monday, July 1, 2019 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be at 11:30 am Monday at Old Enterprise Cemetery near Jonesboro with Kenneth Gossett officiating. Burial will follow with military honors.

Honorary pallbearers are Randle Taylor, Roger Knight, Jeremy Roth, Billy Pierce and Matt Roth.
