Obituary

Jonesboro-Tom Gray Sr., 85, died peacefully at his home on August 24, 2017, surrounded by family.
He was born May 28, 1932 to the late James Millard and Sylvia Beatrice Gray in Jonesboro. He worked as a superintendent for M and M Construction Company for 17 years and later had his own construction company, Gray's Construction. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the Army. He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Community Church near Poughkeepsie. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was active in the recovery community in Jonesboro for many years and touched many lives. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-granddaughter, and his many friends.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Goldie Mae Gray of the home; three children, Tommy Lee Gray Jr, Kay Evelyn Stahl (Cleon) and Stanford James Gray (Melinda) all of Jonesboro; one grandson, Gregory William Stahl (Heather) of Lake City; two granddaughters, Dr. Virginia Gray of Hannibal, MO and Laura Marie Stahl of Paragould; one great-granddaughter, Evelyn Gray Stahl of Lake City.
He was preceded in death by three brothers in addition to his parents.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro with Bro. Jim Pagan officiating. Interment will follow at Keller's Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1pm until service time.
Greg Stahl, Cleon Stahl, Charles Stone, Murphy Tetley, Adam Kidd and Rick McDaniel will serve as pallbearers.
