Obituary
Black Oak- Timothy Jones, 67, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2020 at NEA Baptist Hospital.
He was born October 30, 1952 in Jonesboro to the late Roy and Pauline Earnheart Jones. Tim served his country proudly in the United States Army. He also served his community as a Black Oak Councilman and a volunteer fireman with the Monette/Black Oak Fire Department and was a member of the Monette American Legion.
He is survived by a sister, Sherry Defries and husband Rector of Lake Cormorant, MS; two nephews, Robin Defries (Laurie) and Robert Bryan Defries; four grandnephews and a grandniece; five great-grandnieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be 11:00 am Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of service.
All attendees must wear masks and observe social distancing guidelines.
