Thomas Lee Whitmire -Glbfh's Obituary
Jonesboro- Thomas Lee Whitmire, 68, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018 at his home.
He was born September 24, 1949 in Jonesboro to the late Willard and Elise Holland Whitmire. Mr. Whitmire served his country proudly in United States Marines. He was the first employee of Cameron Construction now API. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother who loved to go hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Pattie Whitmire; a son, Clinton Whitmire of Jonesboro; a son-in-law, Chris Haas of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Breanna Whitmire, Caleb Whitmire, Eli Whitmire, Adyson Haas, Tiffany Haas and Jeremy Haas all of Jonesboro; brothers, Dan Whitmire (Brenda) of Bono and Dennis Whitmire of Rockford, IL.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Misty LeeAnn Haas and a brother, Roger Whitmire.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be 11:00 am Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Nettleton Baptist Church with Rev. Stan Ballard officiating.
Lasting memorials may be sent to the Nettleton Baptist Church.
Arrangements were entrusted to Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
