Thomas Albert Luter, 80, of Pocahontas passed away Monday, July 31, 2023 at his home.

He was born January 2, 1943 in Biggers to the late Robert A. and Gertrude Pettigrew Luter.  Tom worked as a telephone engineer for GTE and was of the Baptist faith.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Gertrude Luter; and by two brothers, Leroy Luter and Duane Luter.

Tom is survived by his wife, Carolyn Thielemier Luter; son, Rob (Glynis) Luter of Hot Springs; daughters, Angie (Allen) Gallaher of Jonesboro and Terri (Darrell) Taylor of Pocahontas; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Gifford of Bryant, Brent Taylor of Pocahontas, Drew Luter of Fayetteville, and Talon Taylor of Pocahontas; great-grandson, Grayson Taylor of Pocahontas; sister, Shirley (Joe) Hultquist of Pocahontas; many many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 10 AM at Hite Cemetery with Ronnie Rose officiating.

Honored to serve as Pallbearers are:  Brent Taylor, Dale Throesch, Buster Swann, Butch Pender, and David Luter.
