Pocahontas - Thersa "Jody" Jewell Segroves, 88, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2012 at St. Bernards Medical Center. Formally of Pocahontas, but lived with her son, Ross in Jonesboro for the past two years. Born March 05, 1924 in Noland, AR. to the late Charley and Irene Wagner. She is also preceded in death by husband Ross Leon Segroves, son James Segroves, three sisters; Charlene, Thelma, Mona and brother Dub. She is survived by two sons; Ross Segroves, Jr. and wife Julie of Jonesboro and Charley Segroves of Nevada. Daughter Rossette Ridgway-Humes and husband Tom Humes of Cherokee Village and two sisters; Bille Sisson of Noland and Ruth Burk of Texas. Grandchildren include: Clay Ridgway of Cherokee Village, James, Holly, Brittney, Amanda and Craig Segroves all of Sacramento, CA., Tabitha and Lil Charley Segroves both of South Lake Tahoe, CA., and Nicole Segroves of Palmdale, CA. And several great grandchildren. Jody Segroves was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and was loved by everyone who knew her. She lived her life for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her passion in life was to quilt and embroider. Mrs. Segroves was cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. McNabb Funeral Home was in charge of making arrangements.
