Mrs. Theresa Ann (Smith) Crabtree, age 81, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on October 27, 1933, in Commerce, Missouri, the daughter of the late, Clarence Minnie Belle (Jones) Smith. She was raised in Biggers, Arkansas and was a 1951 graduate of Biggers Reyno High School where she played Varsity Basketball. Theresa was united in marriage on December 11, 1954, at the First Baptist Church in Biggers, Arkansas to Thomas Stevens "Tom" Crabtree to this union arrived two sons, Thomas Stevens Marshall Eugene to bless their home. Theresa and Tom shared nearly 61 years of marriage together until her death. Theresa was a former employee for Brown Shoe Company in Bernie, Missouri, for 3 years. She was a former Office Manager for Endicott Johnson in Ackerman, Mississippi, for 2 years. She was also a former employee for the Johansen Brother Shoe Factory in Corning, Arkansas, for 1 year. Theresa resided in the Switzerland County community, since 1978. She was a member of the Biggers Baptist Church in Biggers, Arkansas. Theresa was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed cooking for her family. Theresa will be remembered for her love of playing the piano, watching sports, especially basketball the home shopping network. Theresa died at 12:05 pm, Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at the King\u0027s Daughters\u0027 Hospital in Madison, Indiana. Theresa will be missed by her husband of nearly 61 years: Thomas Stevens "Tom" Crabtree, Sr. of Vevay, IN; her sons: Thomas Stevens "Steve" Crabtree, II his wife: Mona of Vevay, IN Marshall Eugene "Gene" Crabtree his wife: Donna of Pleasant, IN; her grandchildren: Eric Crabtree his wife: Lindsey of Lexington, KY, Marshall Thomas Crabtree of Pleasant, IN, James Dexter Crabtree of Pleasant, IN; her great-granddaughter: Abigail Dawn Crabtree of Lexington, KY; her sister: Sandra Mundorff of Kerney, MO her several nieces nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Clarence Minnie Belle (Jones) Smith; her infant-sister: Iris Belle Smith; her sister: Christene Dame; her brother: Clarence Eugene Smith. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, March 29, 2015, at 2:00 pm, by the Chaplain Simon Bookout, at the McNabb Funeral Home, 2129 Park Street Pocahontas, Arkansas 72455. Interment will follow in the Hope Cemetery, Imboden, Arkansas.
