MONETTE " Thelma Cason Price, 93, of Monette passed away Monday, April 14, 2014, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice in Jonesboro. Born at Tuckerman, Aug. 20, 1920, Thelma lived most of her life in Monette and was a member of Monette First Baptist Church. She loved gardening, sewing, baking and spending precious time with her family. Mrs. Price was preceded in death by her husband, Elihue Price; son, Benny Hugh Price; her parents, John W. and Mae Hunter Cason; grandson, Hugh Douglas Miller; brothers, Neil, Johnny and Everett Cason; sisters, Willene Trammell, Ruby Veness and Hazel Wallace. She is survived by her daughter, Dolores Price Miller of Monette; sister, Dorothy Stull of Illinois; beloved granddaughter, MaLeisa Finch (Allen) of Jonesboro; granddaughter, Holly Jackson (Dewight) of Manila; grandson, Ben Allen Price (Gena) of Crossett; great-grandchildren, Dustin Finch (Angela) and Cassie Griffin (Derrick), all of Jonesboro, Kourtnie Rose (Jonas) of Leachville, and Emily and Zach Price of Crossett; daughter-in-law, Sue Price of Crossett; as well as seven great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Special thanks to the kind and caring staff of both the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House and Monette Manor. Graveside funeral services will be 11:15 a.m. Wednesday in Monette Cemetery with Rev. Rusty Bird officiating. Visitation will be 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at Monette First Baptist Church. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Bob Blankenship, Bob Chambers, Mike Wallace, Allen Finch, Ben Allen Price and Dustin Finch. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Dean Trammell and Zach Price. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Winsome Sunday School Class Pantry Fund of Monette FBC, Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House of Jonesboro, the Monette Fire and Rescue or a charity of one\u0027s choice.
