Williford- Thelma Christine Mangrum, 84, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018.
She was born October 27, 1933 in Milligan Ridge to late Robert and Della Boghard Blake. She was a homemaker and worked in the fields. Mrs. Mangrum raised four children, twelve grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was an extremely wonderful woman that enjoyed traveling and living in the hills and country music especially George Jones.
She is survived by her children, Tommy Veach (Sherri) of Manila, James Veach (Kathleen) of Rose Haven, MD and Sharon Kay Wheaton of Williford; three brothers, Alvin Blake, Robert Blake (Kay) and Paul Blake (Janie) all of Caraway; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two husband, James Veach and Wilford Mangrum and a son, Ricky Veach.
A celebration of her life will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Gregg Funeral Home with Eugene Merrill officiating. Interment will follow at Caraway Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from noon until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Tommy Veach II, Michael Whaley, Tucker Gatlin, Preston Rowe, Shawn Lindberg and Kevin Burrow.
