Jonesboro- Tessie Fears Hutchison passed away Friday, April 7, 2017.
She was born the 24th of March 1921 in Leachville to Joe and Maudie Fears.
She married Clifford H. Hutchison on the 18th of May 1946 in Jonesboro. Together they started their life in Denton Texas before moving back to farm in Arkansas in 1948. They retired in 1974 and built their dream home in Paragould where she lived for over forty years.
Tessie graduated from Leachville High School and attended Arkansas State University. She was a retired school teacher and a store and service station owner and farmer together with her husband. Together they loved to fish and hunt and spend time with family.
She was a member of the Church of Christ in Paragould.
Tessie lived a life of service, caring for her husband throughout their marriage after Clifford returned home injured from France during WWII. She also took care of her mother and sister in their final years.
She was preceded in death by her father Joe Fears; her mother Maudie Fears; a brother Rando; a sister Sinda Parham and her husband Clifford Hutchison. She leaves no children.
Tessie is survived by numerous cousins and friends who love and will miss her; but especially Geneva Fears, who she has lived together with since 1991.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Lexington Place in Jonesboro for their care and compassion.
There will be a visitation at the Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home at 300 Matthews Avenue on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 9:00 am until 10:30 am. Private graveside services will be held at Shiloh Cemetery in Paragould.
