Obituary

Monette- Terry Spikes, 68, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at NEA Baptist Hospital.

Terry was born August 20, 1953 in Jonesboro to the late Lavell and Jane Spikes. He was a farmer and a pilot. He was a member of the Monette First Baptist Church. His greatest joys were farming, flying and his wife and family. He will be remembered for his smile and his sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Rolland Spikes; siblings and their spouses, Craig and Dwana Spikes of Broken Arrow, OK, Brad and Stacey Spikes of Danville and Debbie and Steve Shelton of Manila; his mother-in-law, Jewell Rolland; a brother-in-law and his wife, Jimmy and Sheila Rolland all of Monette; nieces and nephews, Matthew Spikes, Brian Spikes (Maddison), Jonathan Spikes (Kaitlin), Jenna Barnhart (Gabe), Jeffrey Spikes, Chad Shelton (Stacey) , Maegan Hill (Stephen) and Chase Shelton (Paige); great-nieces and nephews, Kailen, Kinley, Kacey Jo, Harper, Hayes, Merritt, Kasen, Reese, Molly, Ellis and Maeve and a great-great niece, Rilynn.

He is also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Jimmy Rolland.

A celebration of his life will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Gregg Funeral Home Chapel with Darin Owens officiating. Interment will follow at Monette Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from noon until 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Gregg Funeral Home.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Wayland McClelland, Jim Steele, Chase Shelton, Kyle Haas, Scott Haggenmacher and Nicholas Haggenmacher.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Monette Volunteer Fire Department and Monette First Responders, P.O. Box 382, Monette, AR 72447.
