Jonesboro- Terry James Chaplain Sr., 55, passed away Monday, July 1, 2013 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born on October 15, 1957 in Jonesboro. He worked in auto-part sales and was an avid sports fan that loved the WWE and was known as the "Ultimate Tailgater". He is survived by his wife, Hassie Chaplain; his father, James Chaplain of Jonesboro; son and best friend, Terry "T. J." James Jr. of Jonesboro; two brothers, Steven Chaplain of Jonesboro and Jeff Chaplain and wife, Shelley of Brookland; a sister, Tammy Chaplain Coker of Keller, Texas; a brother-in-law, Danny Cates; two sisters-in-law, Vickie Cates and Joyce Marks; a nephew, Gregory West of Jonesboro; as well as 19 other nieces and nephews and numerous other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eunice Faye Conway Chaplain. A graveside service will be 10:00 am, Friday, July 5, 2013 at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home, 300 W. Matthews Ave.
