Jonesboro - Tammy Brown Smithee, passed Wednesday, September 20, 2017.

Tammy graduated from Jonesboro High School and attended Arkansas State University studying funeral sciences. She had been an assistant funeral director and embalmer with Gregg Funeral Homes. She loved her family and enjoyed watching and attending all of her daughter's activities. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Smithee; a daughter, Tristan Smithee; her parents, Steve and Sherry Brown of Jonesboro; grandmother, Gracie Brown of Osceola; her mother and father-in-law, Michael and Betty Smithee of Lake City; brothers, Mark Smithee and Jonathan Smithee; sisters, Pam Barton and Tina Smithee; a dear friend, Toby Sutton and numerous friends and other family members.

She was preceded in death by a grandfather, Steve Brown Sr.; her grandparents, Dorothy and Robert McCarn and cousin, David McCarn.

A celebration of her life will be 2:00 pm Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 pm Friday, September 22, 2017 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home at 300 W. Mathews Ave in Jonesboro.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Dwayne Cook, Dustin Kelems, Jonathan Smithee, Aaron Barton, Alex Barton, Brad Clark, David Elmore, Tyler Williams, Roland Lachat and as honorary pallbearers, her uncles, cousins and their NEAHSA family.
