Tamala Sue “Tammy” Looney, 68, of Pocahontas passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at St. Bernard’s Five Rivers Medical Center in Pocahontas.

She was born July 10, 1958 in Michigan to the late David “Bob” and Norma Jean Jones Persful. She devoted her life to educating children at Oak Ridge Central School and later at Trinity Behavioral Health.

Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Norma Persful; her husband, Michael Gale Looney; daughter, Justina Looney; granddaughter, Carley Ball; grandson, Koby Ball; sister, Harlene Barnett; and brother, Albert Hess.

She is survived by her daughters, Aaron (Ryan Parish) Franklin and Mily Haskiell both of Pocahontas; grandchildren, Corbin Ball, Sicillia Feyjes, and Kamryn Ball; and many other relatives and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, November 8, 2026 from 1-2 PM in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life beginning at 2 PM. Cremation has been chosen as the method of final disposition.
