Obituary
Jonesboro- Ted Birdsong, Jr., 87, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2019 at his home.
He was born January 20, 1932 in Fisher to the late T. H. and Elsie Mae Wixson Birdsong Sr. Ted proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for four years as an airplane electrician. He owned and operated Childs Company in Jonesboro for several years. He loved to work in his yard, play mandolin, hunt and fish when he was younger. He was very active in The Church of God.
He is survived by his niece, Kim Glass and several cousins and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Darrell Glass.
The visitation will be from noon until 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2019 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
A celebration of his life will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Gary Barker officiating. Interment will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
