Jonesboro- Sylvia Mosby, 78, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018 at her home.

She was born November 27, 1939 in Jonesboro to the late James Andrew and Annie Bell Reece. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, reading and spending time with family. She will be remembered as a loving mom, grandma, great-grandma and aunt. She was of the Baptist belief.

She is survived by her children, Judy McCay (Tom) of Lake City, Jamie Jay (John) of Imperial Beach, CA, Karen Snyder and Lorri Lutz (Scott) all of Jonesboro and Jonathan Mosby (Amanda) of Lake City; twelve grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.

She is also preceded in death by her husband, James E. Mosby and infant twins, Jimmy and Janie Mosby and a granddaughter, Jennifer Boyd; six brothers and six sisters.

A celebration of her life will be 2:00 pm Friday, March 2, 2018 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with grandson, Matthew Eric McCay officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the funeral home.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are her grandsons, Jonathan Taylor Mosby, Caleb Mosby, Kyle Boyd, Chad Snyder, Eric McCay and Hunter Rainwater.
